Microphones come in all shapes and sizes, but not one is a match for the biggest microphone in the world. With the length of 14 feet 9 inches (4.5 meters) and a diameter of 3 feet 10 inches (1.18 meters) across the microphone head, it is truly one-of-a-kind.
It was created by David Åberg from Sweden, and was measured and verified by the Guinness Book of Records on October 19, 2012. Microphone’s handle has a diameter of 2 feet 2 inches (67 cm) at the bottom and somewhat bigger diameter of 3 feet 2 inches (97 cm) at the top. The length of the handle when you exclude the microphone head is 10 feet 6 inches (3.22 meters). As you might have guessed it, this gigantic microphone weights a lot as well – about 1,489 pounds (675.5 kg).
