Is Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch really smart ?

Smartphones and tablets are going to a thing of the past as smartwatches rule the roast in coming years. A testimony to this fact is the Samsung Galaxy Gear. Designed by Pranav Mistri (head of research at Samsung Research America) it is a smartwatch that has created ripples in the technology sphere and shows that big players like Samsung see huge potential in this unique genre of gadgets. Samsung Galaxy Gear is all set to launch in 100 countries worldwide in the next week and is a very strong contender for the best smartwatch till date giving stiff competition to smartwatches in the past. Loaded with a 800MHz processor, 320×320 pixel, 1.63-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 720p, 1.9 megapixel (640×640 resolution) camera and 315mAh battery for extend processing power. One advantage that Galaxy Gear is going to have over smartwatches is the expectancies of apps like the current one, Memographer which captures videos and images.

The interface of this smartwatch comes in swappable cards like form with apps and customizable watch faces. Since the watch face resolution is too small for multiple interfaces to be displayed therefore Galaxy Gear smartwatch runs with the tip of your finger and also via the single button on the watch. The built-in storage space of 4GB and the limitation of pre-loading at maximum of 10 apps might turn the buyer down but since it is something different, it will have many takers.
Galaxy Gear comes in color options like Rose Gold, JetBlack, Oatmeal, Wild Orange, Lime Green and Mocha Gray which should be good enough to wear for males and females alike. But the price tag of $300 will keep the buyers guessing as to whether they should go for this new trendy smartwatch or should they buy a smartphone. However, Samsung Galaxy Gear is all set to launch in early October so make your decision fast.
